GENERAL P.E. RULES

  • Listen and follow all directions.
  • Stop at the whistle or when the teacher speaks or signals for silence.
  • Be quiet and attentive during instruction.
  • Walk into the gym or outside P.E. area in an orderly fashion and sit in your assigned position.
  • Stay in assigned area during activities.
  • Keep all body parts to yourself.
  • Respect others.
  • Use P.E. equipment safely and with care.
  • Move with control and awareness of others.
  • P.E. classes will use all PBIS procedures.
  • Demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Wear comfortable shoes, preferably tennis shoes that lace up. Zipper shoes may unzip when running. (No boots are allowed.) Students will not be allowed to remove shoes.
  • Shorts must be worn under skirts or jumpers. (no exceptions)
  • Leave money and jewelry at home. Eyeglasses can be safely stored on/in the teacher’s desk.
  • Anote from the parent or guardian will excuse the child from P.E. for that day only due to illness.
  • A doctor’s excuse is required for a lengthy medical absence. For grading purposes,

           written assignments may be given for long term medical absences.

  • Please update all medical information with the office.
  • Call the school office to schedule an appointment if you feel a conference is needed.

 

GRADING

PARTICIPATION (100%)

            The student willingly takes part in all P.E., Substance Abuse, and Health activities, individually, and in groups. The minimum requirements must be completed for each class activity.

Five Points will be deducted each time your child refuses to participate or is put on the side because of behavior.
